Members of the Kiwanis Club of Literacy in Salinas participate in service projects that benefit our community and fundraising events that provide support for our focus of early childhood literacy. Being a member of the club is the single easiest way you can support all that we do and a great way to make new friends, experience new things, and learn more about the very active community we live in.
Commitments • Members pay dues for Kiwanis International, Cal-Nev-Hawaii District, Division 43, and local club responsibilities, presently $186.50/year. • Members meet once a month for club meetings (see our Club Calendar page). • Members deliver and read books once a month to students at local elementary schools (see our What We Do page). • Members participate in various fund raising events throughout the year (see our Volunteer Opportunities page). • Members share in social events throughout the year for sheer fun and comradery. • Officers and Directors meet once a month for Board meetings (see our Club Calendar page).
